Aitway

5 km away from Jinghong City, Xishuangbanna Airport is the second air harbor in Yunnan, just next below Kunming Airport. Since its opening from 1990, the airport's domestic service has covered major cities such as Kunming, Dali, Lijiang, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Tianjin, Chengdu and Chongqing; its international service include Bangkok and Chiang Mai and Luang Prabang. The flight time of non-stop flight from Kunming to Xishuangbanna is about 50 minutes, a full fare ticket is 750 RMB Yuan/person, and can be discounted except for the period of the Water-splashing Festival.

Highway

Xishuangbanna is 550km away from Kunming, it only takes 9 hours for the whole journey from Kunming to Bannan via expressway (Mohei-Pu'er Road belongs to Grade 2), visitors can take the coach at the Long-distance Passengers station, Nanyao Coach Station and New Southern Passenger Station which are nearby Kunming Railway Station; more than 20 sleeper coaches and expresses depart to Jinghong, with ticket fare at 200 RMB Yuan/person. The road traffic network in Xishuangbanna is very convenient, 213 and 214 national roads meets in Jinghong, roads reach to Mengla, Lancang and other places in the prefecture. VVhen arriving in Jinghong, you can go to any scenic spot by taking the bus at any passenger station and Xishuangbanna passenger transport station.

 Simao-Xiaomengyang Expressway

Starting from Daoguan village, Pu'er City and Stopping at Xiaomengyang, Jinghong City, the total length is 97.75km (73km in Xishuangbanna), is the first expressway across the rain forest in China, also the exclusive open expressway in class-A scenic area Driving on the road, travelers can enjoy beautiful scenery on both sides of the road, and it shall bring you into the scene of "cars driving in forests and visitors travelling in pictures." That's a true ecological express way in realization of a harmonious relationship for human, nature and animals.

Waterway

"Lancang-Mekong" is the sixth long river in the world, flowing across six countries, and known as the "Oriental Danube", it's a famous int'l waterway. Jinghong Port is a national harbor of Category - I water, made up of three docks of Jinghong, Ganlanba and Guanlei. Jinghong port is for waterway, and has opened water transport routes to Chiang Seen, Thailand and Luang Prabang, Laos.

 Urban Transportation

In Jinghong downtown area, visitors can choose to go travelling by taxi, which charges only 5 Yuan no matter far and near. Bike-renting is also a good choice which can be done at hotel with paying 200 Yuan as the deposit. In addition, if just sightseeing in the downtown area, you can take a rickshaw by paying 2 Yuan.
