During the bridgehead construction, Xishuangbanna is making efforts to connect farm with workshop and link industry with agriculture through promoting the construction of characteristic industry base.

With the unique climate, Dendrobium Officinale planting in Xishuangbanna has advantages to attract many enterprises to invest. Shanghai Bright Food Group has built China’s biggest base of Dendrobium Officinale in Xishuangbanna. And 130 million RMB has been invested to form a complete industry chain of tissue culture, planting and process. Meanwhile, Shanghai Bright Food Group helps farmers planting Dendrobium Officinale and buys fresh Dendrobium Officinale back from farmers with a mode of “company + base + farmers” to effectively arouse farmers’ enthusiasm of planting Dendrobium Officinale.

In rubber industry, Shanghai Jihua Group, Shanghai Shenyuan Trade Co., LTD and some other enterprises will invest in tire and M-PUR manufacture to promote the construction of regional rubber trade center.

In Dai Medicine and South Medicine industry, the cooperative research and development of them with Beijing Institute of Technology and the cooperative development of Dai Medicine which has unique curative effects with Yunnan Baiyao Group will be speed up to build Xishuangbanna as the base of Dai Medicine and South Medicine industry.

In eco-food industry, some typical geographical eco-foods such as Pu’er Tea, rainforest eco-agarics, eco-pig, Gallus Spadiceus and etc. will be promoted. Dayi Pu’er Tea will be built as the famous brand in China as well as the MenghaiCounty as the First County of Pu’er Tea and DadugangVillage as the First Village of Pu’er Tea in China.

 In eco-supplies industry, hemp, bamboo, rosewood, jade and etc. will be focused on to develop. Actively research and develop hemp series from fiber to textile, clothing and rubber sole to build Xishuangbanna as the sample base of hemp industry as well as the process and trade base of rosewood and the JewelsCity of Southern Yunnan.
