Yunnan’s exports of agricultural products totaled 570,000 tons in the first nine months of this year, up 14.2 percent year on year, according to Kunming Customs.
Earnings from the agricultural export grew by 28.9 percent to $1.22 billion U.S. dollars, becoming the second largest category of goods for export in Yunnan.
Official statistics show that the exports of agricultural products under the category of the general trade rose 29.6 percent year-on-year to $1.11 billion U.S. dollars. The exports in border trade increased 21.5 percent year-on-year to $100 million U.S. dollars. The exports to ASEAN account for 50.8 percent in total to $620 million, a 36.4 percent increase over the same last year.
In details, Yunnan's flowers exports rose 31.4 percent year on year to $27.16 million. Tobacco exports increased 12.2 percent to $320 million. Exports of mushroom grew by 17 percent year on year to $71.78 million. Tea exports reached $15.33 million, up 16.7 percent year on year. Coffee exports climbed by 39.6 percent to $120 million.
